The Engineering Manager leads and mentors a team of Manufacturing Engineers, overseeing technical execution and workload management. This role is responsible for developing stable, efficient manufacturing processes across metal forming, heat treatment, NDT, and CNC machining while driving continuous improvement and new product introduction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers
Oversee creation of manufacturing work instructions, routings, and multi-level BOMs
Direct tooling and fixture design for production activities
Ensure engineering processes comply with AS9100 requirements
Partner with Manufacturing and Quality to meet customer and operational goals
Support new product introduction, failure analysis, and corrective actions
Drive lean manufacturing and cost-reduction initiatives
Recommend and support capital equipment and technology improvements
Qualifications
BS or MS in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
3–5 years managing engineering teams in an aerospace environment
Strong background in metal forming, heat treat, NDT, and 4- and 5-axis CNC machining
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (6S, VSM, SPC, Standard Work)
Comfortable working closely with shop floor operations
ITAR eligible
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $110,000–$135,000
Annual discretionary bonus eligibility
Company contribution of ~15% toward retirement through ESOP
