Associate Pharmacy Technician at Providence Health and Services summary:

The Associate Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations by filling medication orders under pharmacist supervision and servicing retail and specialty pharmacy clientele. The role requires licensure or permit as a Pharmacy Technician in Montana and involves customer service experience and training completion. The position is based at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, emphasizing patient-focused, whole-person care within a large healthcare network.

Description

Performs all typical duties of a retail or call center pharmacy staff technician as defined by the Montana Board of Pharmacy and local pharmacy drug outlet procedures. Fills physician orders for patient medications under a Registered Pharmacist's supervision. Communicate with and service the needs of the Retail, Mail Order, Specialty Pharmacy clientele.

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician License Or
  • Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician Temporary Practice Permit Or
  • Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician Provisional License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training and Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training program.
  • 1 year of Customer Service.
